Full Day Float Trips

Join me for a full day (up to 8 hour) float trip down the New River in Southwest Virginia and West Virginia as we hunt for Smallmouth and Muskie on fly. Whether you're a fly fishing veteran or a complete newbie, we'll get you on some incredible fish and share a day that you won't soon forget.

We have access to over two miles of the finest trout water in Virginia. This is the perfect location to host a corporate retreat, share time with family, or simply get away from it all for a day. From stripping streamers through deep pools or drifting dries down a slow run, we'll cover it all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Don't see your answer below? Feel free to contact me today!

What do I need to bring?

Dress for the weather of course. I provide flys, rods, drinks, and food. You can of course bring your own gear and food.

If you're bringing wading boots, make sure you take the studs out before hopping in the boat.

Do you require a deposit?

I do not require a deposit. All trips must be paid in full at least 30 days before the trip date.

What if I need to cancel?

I do offer refunds under special circumstances. If for any reason you need to cancel, your booking is good for up to 1 year, where you can reschedule to a more convenient date.

I may cancel trips due to safety concerns or weather-related issues (like high water). If I have to cancel the trip, you can hold a credit for up to one year or receive a refund.

Can we keep the fish?

No. This is a catch-and-release guiding service.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes! Whether you're a resident or not, you will need a license. You can purchase one from the state here. Children under 16 do not need a license.
